Environmental Justice

Environmental Justice is the just treatment and meaningful involvement of all people in government decisions and funded activities that impact human health and the environment. Environmental Justice efforts avoid disproportionate harm to low-income, minority, disabled populations, and Tribes. The USDA Climate Hubs work with many underserved or burdened communities throughout the U.S. The USDA Climate Hubs are department wide listed program covered under the Justice40 Initiative. Regional Climate Hubs support communities by building resilience to extreme events and providing materials to help increase food security, support mental health and more.
