Loderay Bracero Marrero

Loderay finished her Ph.D. at the Environmental Sciences Department at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. For her dissertation, she evaluated climate hazards to archeological sites using GIS, numerical modeling, and more. Previously, she finished her MS in GIS at the University of Redlands, California, where she developed a predictive model to evaluate archaeological sensitivity. She worked as a Research Physical Scientist developing coastal models, GIS, and Python tools at the Engineering Research Development Center (ERDC), U.S. Corps of Engineers. She is a fellow in the ORISE program and will be working as the Geospatial Information Manager for the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub. Her main tasks will involve collecting, analyzing, and creating climate data products for our main stakeholders. She will be at the GIS Laboratory to provide assistance to other colleagues.
