Overview: 

The National Interagency Fire Center (NICC) serves as a focal point for coordinating the national mobilization of resources for wildland fire and other incidents throughout the U.S. NICC provides information on current and past wildland fires, particularly large scale fires.

Purpose: 
Provide up to date information on large wildlife fires in the United States
Outputs: 
Acres from active fires by state, unit leading the fire fighting effort, agency land ownership, percent fire containment, general location and phone number for additional information.
