Variable weather and drought are some of the most challenging aspects of profitable ranching. One Montana and the USDA Northern Plains Climate Hub are teaming up to host a workshop on drought-resilient ranching which will cover:
1) Best practices for drought management
2) Flexible stocking to adapt to variable weather and drought conditions
3) Mesonet soil moisture and climate stations
The workshop will include cafe-style discussion, presentations from researchers, and Q & A. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP (see below).
